Sorry I have not updated in a long time. However, I have several good reasons.
Two weeks ago yesterday, our troop left for summer camp. We canoed 61.7 miles down the Connecticut river in four days. It was awesome. The views, the wildlife, the crazy adult leaders that were attempting to construct sails for their boats out of poca-dot umbrellas, every bit of it was awesome! we only had bad weather on the last day, which was really nice.
When I got back, I had auditions for the play my sister is directing. I'm not sure how much information I'm allowed to leak, so I won't push my limit on pain of getting my ears boxed. However, I can tell you that it is going to be good.
This past weekend, I was able to complete my Eagle project. Yes, the mammoth of a service project that I have been working on for over two years is done. Done! DONE!!!!! I'm still working on comprehending it. I will post pictures as soon as my internet is working. I have my Eagle Application filled out and am in the process of writing my Life Purpose Statement. All that is left is my Final Write Up and my Board of Review with the date set for September 25. It is great because one of my best friends, Ryan, and I will both be going for our Eagle Boards on the same night! How cool is that? I will be posting when I go for my Board of Review, trust me!
I have retired from my position as Senior Patrol Leader and have taken the roll as instructor. Ryan has taken over with one of the guys who joined three years ago being his assistant.
I have also started a work out plan. Once I get my Eagle, I'm planning on joining the Police Explorers. For that, I need more upper body strength than I have right now, because right now I pretty much have none. Look out world, in a couple of weeks I probably won't be able to touch my shoulders. : P
