Pond Hockey
Pond hockey is awesome! Best game ever created except for maybe Manhunt! Holly and I have been tending an ice rink we made with our neighbors be clearing the snow off of part of a pond down below our house. it is a good sized rink; probably thirty feet by fifty or sixty feet. So last week, we decided we wanted to host a game of pond hockey with some of our friends from scouts and the play. After we set our plans in ice, I promptly went and came down with the flu/bug and was laid up the entire week in bed with a fever. (By the way, thanks to everyone for your prayers and notes. I don't think I've ever gotten so get well notes! I think everyone wanted me to get better so that we could do hockey.)
Anywho, hockey didn't happen last week, but my mom was nice and let us invite our friends over yesterday to beat on the little rubber disk for three and a half hours. I had a blast! Here are some of the pictures from it! Thanks to Holly for taking them. She played for quite a while (and skunked everyone, I might add...) the saw how bad she was making me look and hopped of the ice to then impress everyone with her photography skills!
Can't wait to do it again!

Random Pictures
I was out for a walk with Lily this evening and watched the sunset from a hill out behind our house. It is my favorite place to sit and think. Here are some pics I took with my phone.

| The view from the hill I like to sit on. You can see along the power lines from probably two miles. It is really cool. |

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
The play is TOMORROW!!!!!!!
In case you didn't know, my sister is directing a play, The Scarlet Pimpernel. If you don't know the story, here is a little over view. The story takes place during the French revolution. It is about the original Special Forces, a band of Englishmen that have formed a secret league with the sole purpose of rescuing French aristocrats, who were condemned to death, from their fate at the guillotine. The leader of their group is careful to hide his identity and is known only to his closest followers. To the rest of the world, he is know as "The Scarlet Pimpernel." He is as resourceful as he is cunning and leaves the keenest of French spies baffled by his identity and tactics. That is, until the French government enlists a man who is equal to enigma in skill and deduction and is as evil as the Englishman is good. He uses kidnapping and blackmail, along with other dastardly deeds, to lay the perfect trap to catch the hero, leaving one person, a girl stuck in the middle of it all, as the only way of escape. It ends with and epic battle of wits, landing the Scarlet Pimpernel in the lap of his greatest enemy. The question is this; is he cleaver enough to out wit the fox to save his life, along with the life of loved ones and those depending on him with their own?
Come to our production tomorrow at 10:00 am or 7:00 pm or Saturday, Nov 23 at 3:00 pm to find out!

21 Reasons Why My Sister Rocks
In honor of Holly turning 21 today, I am posting 21 reasons why she rocks.
- Because I say she does. If that's not a good enough reason for you, there are still twenty more to change your mind.
- She loves God
- She wants to be a stay-at-home mom.
- She's pretty, and I'm not bias!
- She is the only person I know that actually laugh a my stupid jokes. The best times I've had with sis have been spent laughing!
- She lets me do crazy things and doesn't get too embarrassed about them. (Like singing camp songs at the top of my lungs while hiking down a mountain...) She even does them with me, when nobody's around.
- She lets me and my buddies tag along when she does things with her friends.
- She studies crazy hard. She will get her BA in history in less than two years.
- She can knit with her eyes closed
- She cheers me up, and drives me crazy, when I'm sick!
- She makes the world's BEST Brownies!
- She used to be able to run faster in high heels than i could in running shoes.
- She owns a horse.
- She is scared up spiders and will pick up snakes with her bare hands.
- She reads more in a day than I do in a month.
- She doesn't get the point of Chuck Norris jokes.
- If she can't sew it, no one can.
- She was crazy enough to try to teach me Latin. (That takes guts!)
- She thinks on her feet.
- She takes awesome pictures.
- And she's my sis!
| Happy Birthday, Holly! |
