One of my favorite poems is "If" by Rudyard Kipling! Their isn't much more I can say, the poem speaks for itself!
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too!
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about-don't deal in lies,
Or being hated-don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise.
If you can dream and not make dreams your master;
If you can think and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life into, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools.
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve their turn long after they are gone,
And so, hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to you "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---but not lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends ever can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much.
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
But---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!

Troop 777 and the 2011 Klondike Derby!
Every year the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) holds a Klondike Derby!
The Klondike is a skills competition made up of several stations which often includes the skills of First Aid, Shelter Building, Fire Building, Lashings, Orienteering, Signaling and a Sled Race! We use dog sleds to carry our equipment!
Our troop, troop 777, is not liked very much at scouting events, because we always win.
I don't mean to be prideful, but lets just say that the troops trophy shelf has gotten pretty full!

So this year we won a few things again! We got First and Second in First Aid (that's because we had two patrols), First in Shelter Building, Second in Signaling, Second in Orienteering, Second in the Sled Race and the First Overall award!!

Joke of the Week! "A Duck, A Banker and Grapes"
Yep, You Better Believe It! Matt's Joke Of The Week Is BACK!!!!!!!!!!
I Can See That You Are Thrilled!
A duck walked into a bank at 1:00 on Monday and says to the teller "Do you have any grapes?"
The teller replied "No, Mr. Duck, I am sorry but I don't have any grapes!"
So the duck turned and walked out!
The next day at 1:00 the duck walked into the bank and said to the teller "Do you have any grapes?"
The teller again replied "No"!
The Next day at 1:00 the duck asked the same thing, and the day after and the day after that and the day after that! So the next day the teller told the duck "If you come in here tomorrow and ask for grapes I am going to nail your feet to the wall!"
So the next day the duck walked into the bank and asked "Do you have any hammers?"
"No" The teller replied "Do you have any nails?" "No" The teller replied again.
"Good!" The duck said " Now, do you have any grapes?"
Hope You like it!

Happy Groundhogs Day
My Gramma and I love to celebrate Groundhogs Day! Every year for about 8 years we have come up with a Groundhogs Day poem about this fictional groundhog named Groundy! He is the nephew of the ever famous Punxsutawney Phil! This morning I came up with the idea of.................Well, maybe you should just look at the picture below!
Here is this years poem!
Born on the Dustin Farm on Snapping Turtle Drive
Most famous of ground hogs, and still alive
He makes known his presence when he wakes at the "BRRRING"
He opens up his shutters and cries out "Hey folks, it's SPRING!
Groundy, Groundy Ground Hog,
Spring prognosticator of every year.
He Grew Up Making Friends Along Life’s Way
His Friendships Grew Stronger, and Stronger Day by Day
Scooter And Billy And Chip And Kwik
Some Hugged Some Played With Him and Some Gave Him a Lick!
Groundy, Groundy, Ground Hog
Barer of Good Cheer
His family is his pride and joy; a granddad now is he.
His grandkids think the world of him, they number thirty-three.
He teaches them to work and play, to do it all in love.
He tells them to be brave and true, and honor the Lord above.
Groundy, Groundy Ground hog
A granddad oh so dear.
His mottos, “stand up for the little guy”, and “defend the poor and weak”!
He told this to both young and old, for men honor he did seek
He said “There is a time for letting go and there is a time to fight”
He said “There is a time to defend what’s rightly yours, and a time to defend what’s right”
Groundy, Groundy, Ground Hog,
Man of honor, not of fear
Yes, Groundy was always for routing and righting the wrong.
He fought hard for his Uncle Phil against the maddening evil throng
He vowed to save his uncle's land and also the family crown
He worried and dazzled PETA AND FRIENDS until their crime clock was worn down.
Groundy, Groundy Groundhog
A groundhog with faith so clear
Groundy, Groundy Ground Hog
Spring prognosticator of every year.
Barer of Good Cheer
A granddad oh so dear.
Man of honor, not of fear
A groundhog with faith so clear
Groundy, Groundy Ground Hog
What More Can I Say But
The best Ground hog of every year!
Happy Birthday Groundy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you didn't realise, it's to the tune of the "Ballad of Davy Crocket"
LEAVE A COMET!!!!!!! I LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOVE COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!

Operation Fox Hunt: Agent 008: Man on a Mission
For the past few weeks we have had a Gray Fox living out in our woods! I have not seen it but my dad has!
So this morning I went on a mission to track the fox down and take a picture of it!
My first stop was our water spicket outside by our barn!
Almost every day for the last few weeks, the fox has come down to our water spicket to look around to see what he/she can find. Thankfully it takes its walk before my ducks get let out!
Objective #1: Look for fox tracks at the water spicket!
I was surprised to see that there were no fox tracks at the spicket! Very interesting! HMMMMMMM!
So I headed out through the woods to see what I could see!
Objective #2: Look for fox tracks in the woods!
Following my dads ATV trail, I again found no tracks in our woods that belonged to the fox!
But there were other tracks out there!
I came across tracks of a Field Mouse.
So I determined to head to a grove of tall shrubs and hide there!
Objective #3: Hide in the shrubs and look for the fox!
After I Plowed through a patch of briar's and forged a three foot snow drift, I arrived at the shrubs. I climbed into the middle of them and waited, but soon realized that I was directly under some power lines.
I don't mind things that go BOOM or POW, but things that go ZZZZZZZZZZZZZAP give me the tingles! (Literally!!!!)
So I left my hideout to look for his den! But when I got to where I thought his den was, it was under two feet of snow!
Oh well! Guess you can't win all of them!
Time for Agent 008 to head back to HQ and get a cup of hot chocolate!
But believe you me, I won't rest till I see that fox with my own two eyes!

My First Post
I have been asking my mom for months if I could have a blog. Well, today it finally paid off!
I am not quite sure what to write, but I will have something very soon!
But I do have one thing that I would like to start with. A weekly joke!
Here it is!
A fisherman who lost his job went in to a town to look for work. He got a job at a the local bank.
The man didn't know very much about banking, but soon got the hang of it.
On his first day as a teller things were going pretty well, until a robber walked in!
The robber said "Give me two million clams or taste lead!"
The fisherman replied "Boy Sunny, that sure is a lot of clam chowder!"
Hope you like it. Leave a comment!
