Today I am doing 9 things I like. (I do have more than 9 things that I like)

  1. God. God is the ruler of my life and I love Him with my whole heart.
  2. My ducks. I have two ducks, Chip and Junior.  Chip is 7 and Junior is 4. They are my buddies.
  3. The outdoors. I love being outside.
  4. Spending time with friends.
  5. Drafting. I love to draft things and come up with crazy ideas for inventions. I enjoy math too. Not all math, but most of it.
  6. Shooting. Rifels, shotguns, handguns, bows, BB guns, Airsoft guns, slingshots, I love em' all.
  7. Wood working. Give me a saw, hammer, nailes, etc. I love to do woodworking!
  8. Playing the paino.
  9. Boy Scouts. My life is Boys Scouts. It takes a lot of work, but it's worth it.
Well, there you have it. "9 Likes"
Tomorrow, "8 Fears"

10 Secrets

Okay, you are probably wondering why my post is titled "10 Secrets". Well, I am doing this thing called the Ten Day You Challenge. Everyday for the next ten days, I am going to post something about myself. Today is "10 Secrets," tomorrow is "9 Likes," then "8 Fears," and you just keep going down the line. I got this idea from another blog that I follow.

All right, here I go. I don't have a lot of secrets, so this could be hard!

  1. I am a NUT! For my blogging friends that have never met me, I am a little weird.
  2. I can't spell to save my life. I don't know why, but I have never been able to spell very well.
  3. My feet are very sensitive. If you tickle them, I will scream. Really, I will.
  4. I memorize every phone number of every person that I ever call. I have an incredible memory. I can memorize things very fast!  (Except spelling words.)
  5. I have to know how things work. I will rip things apart just to find out how they work. I like to guess about how things work. The cool thing is that a lot of the time, I am right.
  6. I do not like to read. I don't know why, but I just don't like to read.
  7. I want to play the Banjo.
  8. I can't read music very well.
  9. I can't touch my toes.
  10. I eat a lot. I have no clue where it all goes, but I eat a lot!
Wow! I had 10 secrets!

MacGyverisms 2

I had so much fun with the last post I did, I thought I would do another one.

1. You are trapped in and aisle in a Ware house between an iron door and four armed guards. There are tall piles of crates stacked up on each side of the aisle. You only have about a minute to come up with a way to block the guards so you can pick the lock on the door and get out.
You have:
  • Duck tape
  • A Swiss Army knife
  • Matches
  • 50' of Para-cord

2. You have just stolen military secrets from a high security mansion in East Germany. You got in just fine, but sneaking out the back door of the kitchen, you run into a motion censored machine gun. In order to get away, you have to jump a hedge, but if you do, the machine gun will see you and shoot you! You need to come up with some way to distract the motion censor so you can get away.
You have:
  • Duck tape
  • A Swiss army knife
  • 50' of Para-cord
  • Matches
  • An old blender from the kitchen. (It still works)
  • A dolly for caring food
  • An old bust of someone
  • Some rubber bands
  • Two 24v batteries
  • Copper wire

Can you make it out alive?
Let me know!

McGyverisms: A post about resourcefulness

I am doing a post about resourcefulness to see how well you think on your feet! I will give you three scenarios and a list of things that you have in each one. then you come up with a way you would get out of that scenario using random items of usefulness. then let me know what you came up with by leaving me a comment!

1. You were going on a camping trip and a punk shot a hole in your carburetor. The only problem is that you are a long way from any town or phone.
You have:
  • Duck tape
  • Swiss Army Knife
  • Eggs
  • Foam bed roll
  • A small piece of sheet metal
2.  You are locked in old utility room in an old building that is on fire. The lock on the door is old and accessible from both sides of the door via a keyhole, but still very strong.
You have:
  • Swiss Army Knife
  • A sink that has running water and a drain that can be plugged.
  • Drain cleaner
  • A Co2 Fire extinguisher
  • A nail
3. You are a secret agent trying to sneak important information out of an enemy country. But you were caught and are locked in a room. You have a plan to get out, but the problem with your plan is that your escape route is rather noisy, and the guards in the other room will hear you trying to get away. So you need to make some kind of smoke screen so when the guards come in, they wont be able to see you.
You have:
  • A Swiss Army Knife
  • Ashes in an old wood stove
  • A Co2 fire extinguisher
  • Paper
  • Matches
  • A 5 gallon bucket
Can you get out of these scenarios? Let me know!

Joke of the Week "A Prayin' Man"

Sorry it have slacked off again people. I am running out of jokes!

Two men, that were running from the police, crossed a farmer's field. But in the middle of the field, they were spotted by the farmer's bull. The bull started charging at the men and was quickly gaining on them.
One man said to the other, "Are you a prayin' man?"
"No!" The other man replied.
"Maybe it's time to start. Quick, say a prayer before we get killed by this bull!"
So the other man prayed the prayer that his father had prayed every night at the dinner table. "Lord, we thank Thee for what we are about to receive."

The Problem With Big Brother's Boots

My older brother Chris just started going to police academy. (He is an EMT, Fire-Fighter, and now a Cop, going for them all!)
Well, when he goes to class, he needs to wear this weird looking uniform, ugly hat, a T-shirt that he has to iron, EMS pants and black boots.
Well, last Friday night he was trying  them on. (The boot) Nothing wrong with that. The "Problem" came when he tried to take them off. They were stuck, emphases on the STUCK! He could get one off, but the other wouldn't move! He pushed, pulled, shoved, tugged, it would not move for anything!
Then along came BUFF little brother (a.k.a. Me) and pulled it off just like that. OK, it wasn't just like that, it was more like, I pulled and it came off five minutes later. I pulled so hard on that boot that Holly had to hold Chris to the couch so I didn't pull him off it. So you could say that there was a severe amount of extreme muscular  force concentrated in a certain point for an aloted amount of time. Or, in other words, I pulled for a rerally LOOOOOOONG time!

The boot almost off!

The final tug!

And it's off!
Unfortunately, there are no good photos of me showing off my incredible buffness

The Victor!

The victim getting up after the amputation.
NOTE: Holly didn't think I could do it!
So I guess that it can be said now and through the age: Lil' buff boy beat big brothers bad boots, bad!
